The room was immaculate. You can tell whoever runs this hotel really cares, the way it had been styled felt like you were staying at a friends home rather than a hotel. A ten minute walk from the beach, and a minute walk from the steam train station. Everything was so clean and tidy, bed was extremely comfortable, and the room had lovely attentions to detail. We are quite private people, so being able to check in via text was fantastic, and to be able to come and go as we please without worry of a curfew. Additionally, I loved being able to see and hear the steam trains form the windows. Felt magical. Would 100% stay again.
A very charming hotel very quiet, overlooking the miniature steam railway, service is good and personal and probably the best place to stay if you want to get on the railway.
Visited New Romney and dungeness and stayed with my boyfriend for 3 nights, loved the room it was very spacious and very clean, warm and quiet. The stuff was very friendly, helpful and happy to answer any inquiries.
Just spent 2 nights at Captain The Captain Howey Hotel - such a comfortable hotel - cleanliness over and beyond 💯 % - staff so friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble - bigger more well known hotels could learn a lot from the running of the hotel, restaurant and bar (not suitable with anyone with mobility issues as there are quite a few steps)
